How will you mention the work done?

Work is said to be done if (i) a force is applied on the object and (ii) the object is displaced from its original position. Work done by a force (F) acting on an object is equal to the product of the force and displacement (s) of the object in the direction of the force, i.e., W = Fxs = Fs
