Giving reason state if a body having three simultaneous velocities 2u, 3u and 6u can have their resultant velocity zero.

we can get the sum ( a+ b ) as diagonals of parallelogram as shown in figure .

Let sum vector ( a+ B ) = - vector c . hence we can get vector c in opposite direction as shown in figure.

sum of these three simultaneous velocity vectors ( a + b + c ) = 0 .

As can be seen from figure , to get three simultaneous veclocity vectors such that
their resultant is zero, their mangintudes should be three sides of triangle .

with the given three velocity vectors i.e., 2u , 3u and 6u , we can not form a triangle
with sides 2u, 3u and 6u becuase sum of two sides of triangle should be breater than third side.

2u +3u not greater than 6u

Hence , we can not have three simultaneous vectors as 2u , 3u and 6u to give resultant is zero.
