give examples of positive, negative and zero displacement by drawing a suitable diagram

Let us assume an object has started moving from O and initially moved a distance OA along North-East direction as shown in figure.
After the point A , let the object travels along AB as shown in figure in the direction south-east with respect to point A.

The net displacement is positive . This consideration is by convention so that displacement at right side of staring point is positive.

Now let us consider that , the object moving from B to O as shown in figure in the direction towards west.

Now the net displacement is zero . When an object does not move then displacement is zero .
Also when an objects moves and come back to staring point , then displacement is zero.

Now let us consider the object continues to move along west direction upto the point C as shown in figure.

Now the net displacement is negative. This consideration is by convention as explained previously so that
displacement in left side of starting point is negative
