Find the equation of the plane passing through the point (2,3,5) and making equal intercepts on the coordinate axes.
The answer given in the book is: x+y+z =10

Expert Answer
Let the intercepts made by the line on x, y and z axis be m.
hence, equation of line would be
x/m +y/m + z/m = 1
x+y+z = m
Now, this line passes through (2,3,5)
Hence, 2+3+5 = m
m = 10
So, the equation of line: x+y+z = 10
