Electrostatic repulsive force Fe between protons is
where K = 1/(4πεo ) = 9 × 109 N m2 C-2 is Coulomb's constant , q = 1.602 × 10-19 C is charge on proton and d is the distance between protons.
If elecrostatic repulsive force is equal to weight of proton then
Fe = Fg
Hence if protons are separated by a distance ~ 12 cm , then repulsive electrostatic force between protons equal weight of a proton.
