an athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200m in 40 seconds .what will be the distance covered and the displacement at the end of 2 minutes distance covered and the displacement at the end of 2 minutes 20 seconds distance covered and the displacement at the end of 2 minutes 20 seconds

diameter = 200m
radius = 200/2 = 100 m
Distance covered = circumference of circular track
Thus,
distance covered in 40 s= 2∏r = 2 x 3.14 x 100 = 628 m
distance covered in 1 s = 15.7 m
Thus, distance covered in 2 min 20 s i.e. 140 s = 15.7 x 140 = 2198 m ≈ 2200 m
Displacement in 2 mins i.e. 120 s will be zero because athelete will complete 3 rorunds and at that time initial position and final position will be same.
But, after next 20 s the displacement will be equal to diameter of circular track which is 200 m
Thus,
distance covered = 2200 m and
displacement = 200 m
