A particle starting from the corner start moving with constant velocity 1m/s along the diagonal of a cube. Taking the corner as origin, finf the position of the partice after 1 sec.

The coordinate system is shown in figure. Let the position of the particle after 1 sec is (x,y,z).
 
distance travelled from origin is begin mathsize 12px style square root of x squared plus y squared plus z squared end root space space equals space 1 space m end style
hence x = y = z = 1/√3
 
coordinate of paticle after 1 sec is (1/√3, 1/√3, 1/√3)
