It will be a straight line graph with zero as the intercept.
We know,
s = ut + 1/2 at2
u =0 ( as the ball is thrown downward, initial velocity is zero)
Thus,
s= 0 + 1/2 gt2 ...(a=g when force acting in direction of gravity)
Thus,

Thus, distance fallen is directly proportional to square of the time taken to reach the ground.
g =acceleration due to gravity =constant = 9.8 m/s2
