A ball is thrown vertically upwards. It rises up to a height of 20 m and comes back to the initial position. Find:
the total distance covered by the ball, and
the displacement of the ball.

- The total distance travelled = 20 m + 20 m = 40 m.
- Since, the ball returns to its initial position, the initial and final positions coincide with each other. Hence, the displacement of the ball = 0
