In a refracting telescope, there are two lenses which refract light and the second lens becomes the eyepiece.

In a reflecting telescope, there is a primary mirror (concave) which reflectes the light. Now, this light is reflected inside the tube of the telescope itself. So, there has to be another mirror (plane) which will reflect that light to the eyepiece. Hence, this reflection inside the tube is considered as a disadvantage because:
1) Firstly part of the incoming light is blocked by the plane mirror which comes in between the incoming light and concave mirror.
2) Secondly this mirror will not act as an eyepiece and an additional setup has to be made to fit in the eyepiece lens through which the user can observe.
