Two waves produced by different sources are represented by :-
Y1 = A sin200(pi)t, and,
Y2 = A sin208(pi)t
where Y1 and Y2 are displacement and 'A' is the amplitude of the two waves.
If these two waves are observed simultaneously, we would observe

b.) 4 beats every second

Angular frequency of wave-1 = ω1 = 2πf1 = 200π , henve f1 = 100 Hz
Angular frequency of wave-2 = ω2 = 2πf2 = 208π , henve f2 = 104 Hz
Beat frequency 104-100 = 4 Hz
