Iron has atomic no. 26, so its electronic configuration is 2,8,8,8. So it should be a non-reactive metal. Why?

Answer:
Dear Student

First of all iron has atomic number 26.
So the electronic configuration is [Ar] 3d6 4s2  or 2, 8, 14, 2

So, it is clear now that why it is reactive element.

We hope that clarifies your query.
