If a convex lens iis enlongated , then how the focal length and thickness will decrease or increse?what is curvature in lens here?

if the amount of material of lens is constant and if the lens is elongated, naturally thickness will decrease. Also radius of curvature of spherical surfacees increase.
Let us consider the lens-makers equation
f is focal length, μ is refractive index of lens material, R1 and R2 are radii of curvature.
by assuming the cartesian sign convention( R2 is negative, left side radius of curvature) and assuming R1 = R2=R,
we get
that shows the focal length increases
