Force arises due to interaction of electric and magnetic field is known as electromagnetic force.
When a charge q is moving with velocity v in a direction other than the direction of magnetic field B experiences a force q(v×B).
This principle is used to accelerate the charges in Cyclotron.
when a conductor of length l carrying current i is placed in a magnetic field B, the conductor experiences a force ( il × B )
This principle is used to make electrical motors.
when a coil of conducting wire is rotated in a magnetic field, EMF ( electro-motive force) is geerated in the coil.
This principle is used in electric generator.
Above mentioned phenomenaon are examples of electromagnetic force.
