Discuss the function of the digestive juice in the process of digestion?

The function of the different digestive juices which are produced at various stages and different parts of the digestive system is to act on specific food. Each juice is designed to breakdown carbohydrates, proteins, fats and help them assimilate.
1. Ptyalin and amylase acts on carbohydrates.
2. Pepsin and trypsin acts on proteins.
3. Bile(does not contain enzymes) and lipases acts on fats.
4. Peptidases and sucrase act on peptides and and sucrose respectively.
