Expert Answer
Pressure P at delivering side of engine , P = ρ g h
where ρ is density of fluid , g is acceleration due to gravity and h is height
Pressure P = 1200 × 9.8 × 5 = 58800 Pa
Force F exerted by engine to make the fluid to flow through the tube, F = Pressure × area of crosssection of tube
Force F = 58800 × 4 × 10-4 = 23.52 N
Power delivered by engine = force × speed of fluid = 23.52 × 0.4 = 9.41 W
