CBSE Class 12-science Answered
According to me, none of the options given for the following question are correct.
In the question, the longest chain will be the one with C3H7 and will include 8 carbon chain, only the last option has 8 carbons but even that option includes 2,3 diene while it should be 2,4 diene.

Yes, we agree that none of the options mentioned are correct.
The longest chain will be formed with C3H7 and the parent chain will consist of eight carbon atoms.
Functional group will be given the minimum number.
The correct answer should be 5-Ethyl-2Methyl octa-2,4-dien-1-ol.
