A Particle moving with initial velocity of 15 m/s is subjected to a uniform acceleration of -5m/s2. Find the displacement in the next 3 secs.

Required equation of motion is " S = u×t + (1/2)a×t2 " , where S is the ditance travelled,
u is initial speed, t is time of travel and a is acceleration.
 
we have u = 15 m/s, t = 3 s, a = -5 m/s2 .
 
hence S = 15×3 - (1/2)×5×3×3 = 22.5 m
