Expert Answer
Let E = 12 V is the EMF of battery with internal resistance r and I = 7.5 A is the current drawn from battery
when a load resistance R = 1.2 Ω is connected.
Then we have , E = I ( R + r )
R+r = E / I
R+r = 12/7.5 Ω = 1.6 Ω
Hence , internal resistance r = ( 1.6 - 1.2 ) Ω = 0.4 Ω
