Time to Download Your CBSE Admit Card 2024: Out Now!

With board exams scheduled to begin on February 15, 2024, your preparations must have taken up the pace, propelling you towards achieving remarkable success. CBSE has released the 2024 Admit Card which you can access through a few simple clicks on cbse.gov.in.

CBSE Admit Card 2024

The CBSE Admit Cards are a mandatory document required to appear for board exams of classes 10 and 12. The admit cards important comprise details like:

  • Student’s name, photograph and signature 
  • Parent’s name
  • Roll number 
  • Examination name 
  • Chosen subjects, their codes and respective exam dates and timings
  • Details of examination centre 
  • School and centre code
  •  Guidelines or instructions for students

Once downloaded, the admit cards need to be signed by the principal. The regular school students get the officially signed admit card from the school, while the private candidates are required to download it from the official website. Candidates must ensure to check each and every detail thoroughly on the admit card. In case of any discrepancy, wrong entry or spelling mistake, inform the school authorities for further steps and correction.

Steps to Download CBSE Admit Card 2024

The CBSE admit card can be downloaded by school authorities and private students. We have separately stated the stepwise download procedure for each category. 

Schools

Step 1: Head to the official CBSE website, which is cbse.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Pariksha Sangam’ portal or access it directly by clicking here.
Step 3: Click ‘Continue’. 
Step 4: Select the ‘Schools’ option or directly click here. 
Step 5: Choose the ‘Pre-exam activities’ option among the five choices. 
Step 6: Now select the option ‘Admit Card, Centre Material for Main Exam 2024’. 
Step 7: Fill in the details and choose to continue. 
Step 8: The admit card will be displayed on the screen with the option to download it for all the students.

Private Candidates

Step 1: Visit the official CBSE website, which is cbse.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Main Website’ option or click here.
Step 3: Head to the latest @CBSE section and click on the notification stating ‘Download Admit Card for Private Candidates Board Examination 2024’. 
Step 4: You will be taken to the ‘Authentication page’. 
Step 5: Search your admit card through either of the following options. Click any of the following options to enter subsequent details:

  • Application numbers 
  • Previous Roll number and year 
  • Candidate Name

Step 6: Click on ‘Proceed’ and fill in the credentials 
Step 7: Again click on ‘Proceed’ to see your admit card
Step 8: Download it for further usage.

Do’s and Don’ts for CBSE Board Exam 2024

CBSE restricts certain activities while allowing only the objects of relevance in the exam hall. Check the do’s and don'ts section to act accordingly:

Do’s

Candidates are allowed to take with them the following items in the exam hall: 

  • Admit card or hall ticket 
  • Identity card 
  • Writing page 
  • Royal blue or blue ballpoint, fountain or gel pen, pencil, sharpener, eraser, colours, and brushes in a transparent pouch along with essential geometry instruments 
  • Transparent water bottle
  • A bus pass or metro card 

Don'ts

Candidates are prohibited from taking the following items in the exam hall:

  • Mobile or other electronic items
  • Printed or written material except admit and identity card
  • Eatables except for diabetic candidates
  • Items such as handbags, wallets, goggles, pouches and others

Exam Day Instructions/Guidelines

Candidates need to keep the following points in mind for smooth entry to the examination seat in the provided centres:

  • Time: Entries into the examination centre will be banned after 10 A.M. Reaching on time is the candidate’s responsibility. It is advisable to reach 30 minutes before the exam. 
  • Cheating: Using any unfair means is completely prohibited and may lead to strict actions. Completely avoid the same. 
  • Admit card: Ensure you take the admit card for entry into the examinations. 
  • Stationary: Keep two pens of each type to avoid issues during the exam. Borrowing is prohibited in the hall. Only use blue and black pens to write in the exam. 
  • Clothing: Ensure you wear the proper school uniform and carry your school identity card. Casuals are not allowed. 
  • Guidelines: Necessarily go through the guidelines printed on the admit card before the scheduled exam date.
