Scholarships after Class 12

Here are some scholarships that you can apply for after Class 12:

 

1. G P Birla Educational Foundation Scholarship

The scholarship aims at promoting education, developing human resources and empowering the youth of the country by helping them pursue their higher studies.

Eligibility criteria: A student should have passed Class 12 in order to be eligible for this scholarship. He/she should score more than 80% marks in Class 12. The student can pursue his/her further studies in Science, Humanities, Engineering, Medicine, Architecture, Commerce or Law.

Duration: The scholarship is granted in instalments until the completion of the course on a yearly basis.

2. Merit cum Means Scholarship for Minority Students

The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who belong to minority groups.

Eligibility criteria: A student should have passed Class 12 to apply for this scholarship. Graduates of the Muslim, Christian, Parsi, Buddhist, Sikh or Jain community can apply for this scholarship.

3. CBSE Merit Scholarship

To help the meritorious students of low-income groups, numerous scholarships are provided to students of CBSE.

1.    CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for +2 Studies

2.    CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies (AIPMT)

3.    CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies (AIEEE)

4.    CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Under Graduate Studies for Single Girl Children

 

Eligibility criteria: These scholarships are available to CBSE students who have passed Class 12 with good marks.

4. FAEA Scholarship

The FAEA scholarship programme aims at promoting social justice to students who belong to socially and economically disadvantaged sections of society.

Eligibility criteria: Students should have passed Class 12 with good grades.

Duration: The scholarship is provided for three years and based on the performance of the student. It can be extended for post-graduation studies as well.

5. R D Sethna Loan Scholarship

The scholarship is granted to promote scientific, technical, industrial or commercial studies among students.

Eligibility criteria: The scholarship is provided to those students who have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks.

6. Indian Oil Academic Scholarship

Indian Oil Corporation offers Indian Oil Academic Scholarships to students every year.

Eligibility criteria: The scholarship is available for both Class 10 and 12. The student should have at least scored 65% to apply for this scholarship. The age limit for the scholarship is minimum 15–30 years.

7. Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test

Also known as NEST, this scholarship test is conducted by SUFI, an NGO, in order to help bright students pursue their higher studies without worrying about financial issues.

Eligibility criteria: You can apply for the scholarship after Class 10. To apply for the scholarship, you need to appear for the test conducted by the NGO.
