Madrasas to Adopt CBSE-Style Education

Over 1000 madrasas in Bengaluru, Vijayapura, Davangere and other districts of Karnataka are in the process of adopting the new syllabus prescribed by the Islamic Educational Board of India (IEBI). The new syllabus will focus more on providing Islamic education in different languages, including Kannada, in a systematic manner to students from Class 1 to 12.

Keeping in mind the CBSE form of education, IEBI is also planning to give more emphasis to moral education. The Board has also planned to survey the mosques and madrasas in the state for a detailed database, which they hope will help them to provide online education to young students.
