JEE Main 2023 Registration Begins Soon: Check Eligibility Criteria

The NTA conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam twice every year for admission to B.E/B. Tech courses offered at NITs, IIITs, other CFTIs, and institutions/universities funded/recognised by participating state governments. The registration process for the JEE Main 2023 is most likely to begin in November 2022. Candidates will have to visit the official website to fill out the online registration form for the 2023 JEE Main examinations. Meanwhile, it is crucial for all aspirants to go through the JEE Main 2023 eligibility criteria.  

JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

NTA will release the official JEE Main 2023 eligibility criteria online along with the registration forms. Following are the key details that every candidate must satisfy to be eligible for the JEE Main 2023 examinations:

Paper 1 for BE/BTech

●       No age limit

●     Candidates must have passed the class 10+2 qualifying exam in 2021 and 2022, or they are to appear for the same in 2023.

●       Candidates must have the following subjects:

Mathematics

Physics

Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject

Language

Any other subject

JEE Main 2023 Important Dates

NTA organises the JEE Main exam in two sessions to allow candidates to give their best performance.

The final dates of JEE Mains 2023 registration, application submission, application correction, admit card release, and exam will be announced by the NTA in November. Candidates can view the tentative JEE Main 2023 dates in the following table:

NTA will initiate the JEE Main 2023 registration tentatively in the third week of November 2022. Candidates must note that the JEE Main 2023 application form 2023 will be available online on the official website.

How to Fill JEE Main Application Form

Candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out the online application form:

●      Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

●      Click the JEE Main 2023 registration link.

●      Provide the details, including your name, date of birth, address, gender, parents' details, email ID, and mobile number.

●      Once you have filled out the registration form, click the register button.

●      You will receive your login credentials at the provided email address and phone number.

●      Use the details to log in and complete your application. You must enter details about the exam city choice and pay the application fee.

●      Review the application form and click the submit button.

JEE Main 2023 Exam Pattern

NTA conducts the JEE Main Session 1 and Session 2 exams as per the following pattern:

●       No. of questions: 90

●       30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Maths

●       Type of questions: 20 MCQ and 10 Numerical Value questions in each subject

●       Questions to attempt: 20 MCQs and any 5 Numerical Value questions in each subject

●       Marks per question: 4 marks

●       Total marks: 300

Paper 2A for BArch

●       No. of questions: 82

●       30 from Maths, 50 from General Aptitude and 2 from Drawing

●       Type of questions: 20 MCQ and 10 Numerical Value questions in Maths, 30 MCQ in Aptitude and 2 Drawing questions

●       Questions to attempt: All 20 MCQ and any 5 Numerical Value questions in Maths, all 50 from Aptitude and all 2 from drawing

●       Marks per question: 4 marks per question in Maths and Aptitude and 50 marks per question in drawing

●       Total Marks: 400

 

Paper 2B for BPlan

●       No. of questions: 105

●       30 from Maths, 50 from General Aptitude and 25 from Planning

●       Type of questions: 20 MCQ and 10 Numerical Value questions in Maths, 50 MCQ in Aptitude and 25 MCQ in Planning

●       Questions to attempt: All 20 MCQ and any 5 Numerical Value questions in Maths, All MCQ in Aptitude and Planning

●       Marks per question: 4 marks

●       Total Marks: 400
