GST is all set to enter Class X ICSE Syllabus from 2020

ICSE  has decided to include the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Class X Maths syllabus. GST will replace the segment on VAT carrying 4 to 6 marks as this tax regime has been discontinued. The change will take effect from the next academic year onwards. This change in the syllabus, declared by ICSE, has been widely accepted by teachers and educators. Some are of the opinion that students who choose Commerce as a stream for +2 will immensely benefit from this move. They are affirmative that the change in the syllabus will help students to get accustomed to the indirect tax structure present in the country. This move by the council shows its readiness to adapt the syllabus according to current happenings.

The impact of this change in syllabus will prove to be beneficial. Since GST was introduced, it has made it to newspaper headlines fairly regularly.
