ShareThe All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) is an entrance examination conducted by CBSE for students who aspire to get into various state level and national level medical colleges for the MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHS courses. AIPMT is one of the toughest exams to crack, so you need to be aware of every dimension of this exam such as the paper pattern, marking scheme, important topics and cutoffs. Breakdown of AIPMT
Paper Pattern: The question paper of AIPMT has 180 questions each worth four marks. All the questions will be of the objective type with four options of which only one will be right. So, students will have to be extremely careful with the kind choice they make because options are given to create confusion and not to help. Subject-wise, there are 45 questions each from Physics and Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology.

AIPMT has negative marking. For each right answer, you will get four marks, but for each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. So, be careful about negative marking, because if you bag in more wrong answers, your chances to get the medical seat will become zero.
