CBSE portal puts up JEE Main 2017 mock test

Aspirants of JEE 2017 will now be able to attempt online mock test online thanks to the latest initiative by the CBSE. The total duration of the test is 180 minutes. During the test an automatic countdown timer will be displayed on the screen. Candidates will not be required to click the submit button once the timer stops as answers will be automatically recorded on the website.

It is not at all compulsory to solve the questions chronologically. Also, if candidates doubt any of their answers entered, they will be allowed to change them just before the timer stops. There is also an option to view all questions together.

There will be only one correct answer to each question. The process of allotting marks will be the same as in the JEE Main online exam. Every correct answer carries four marks, and an incorrect one costs one-fourth mark. If no answer is given, no marks will be deducted.

The mock test can be viewed in English as well as in Hindi. It is divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, having 30 questions each.

The JEE Main online examination will be held on April 8 and 9, 2017.

It is important to note that the mock test is merely for practice and candidates must not mistake it as a sample paper.
