CBSE Adopts TETRA to Avoid Undue Penalization in Board Exams

CBSE has always been technologically advanced and digitally inclined. The digitalization of JEE/NEET exams bears testimony to that. Now, to take it a step further, CBSE has adopted the Theory Evaluation Trend Analysis (TETRA) software. As the name suggests, the software keeps an eye on the emerging exam trends.

The software has been designed to help level the playing field for students; to ensure that students are not wrongly penalized due to unduly difficult question paper or confusing questions.

The software displays live trends of average marks scored by the students across centers. And, it can be used for moderation of marks, if the need arise, due to questions being too difficult or too ambiguous in the Board exams.

And, it’s not just this software, but there has been a lot of changes in how CBSE conducts Board Exams. After the Maths and Economics paper leak incident for Classes 10th and 12th, the Board seems to be putting every measure in place to ensure that the 2019 10th and 12th exams are carried out smoothly.
