Why does granulated charcoal react faster than charcoal pieces?
Asked by Navya Benny | 2nd Jul, 2015, 08:05: PM
Rate of reaction is directly proportional to the surface area. More the surface area, faster is the reaction.
Granulated charcoal has more surface area than charcoal pieces, hence granulated charcoal reacts faster.
