CBSE Class 10 Answered

When there is difference in class interval, you still continue with step deviation method, but how do we assume any of the class mark.

In step deviation method, we can assume any value of assumed mean, but assuming middle value will ease the calculations.
The final formula takes care of this, so that you get the same answer anyways
