What would happen if the nucleous is removed?

A main function of the nucleolus is the production and assembly of ribosome components (RNA, proteins). There are other additional functions also. So if nucleolus were to be removed, ribosome synthesis would be affected. This would then affect the protein synthesis and the functioning of the whole cell.
