what is the difference between reverbration & echo?

Reverberation refers to the persistence of sound even after the source has stopped emittig the sound but echo is the phenomenon of repitition of sound after reflection from an object. It is an effect caused by reflection. Radiation from source appears to come , after a short delay, from somewhere else, the image.
