1) Prokaryotic cells are generally small in size. Eukaryotic cells are comparatively larger.

2) Nucleus is absent in prokaryotic and present in eukaryotic cells.

3) Prokaryotic cells show a single chromosome whereas eukaryotic cells show more than one chromosome

4) Membrane bound organelles are absent in prokaryotic cells whereas they are present in eukaryotic cells.

5) Eukaryotic cells divide through mitosis or meiosis. Mitosis does not take place in prokaryotic cells.
