Hi V Dhanya,

Kinetic Energy

Potential Energy

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by the body by virtue of its motion.

The energy possessed by an object due to its position is called potential energy.

K.E. = 1/2 mv2

P.E. = mgh

Example: Moving arrow possesses kinetic energy.

Example: Deformed bow possesses potential energy.
