Ways by which one can get pneumonia:

  • Bacteria and viruses living in the nose, sinuses or mouth may spread to the lungs.
  • One can breathe some of these germs directly into his lungs.

Symptoms of pneumonia:

  • Chest pain
  • Shaking chills
  • Fever
  • Dry cough
  • Muscle aches
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Rapid breathing
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Difficulty breathing

Treatment of pneumonia:

  • Medications and participating in follow-up care
  • A chest x-ray may be ordered to ensure your pneumonia has been successfully treated.
