what is markovinkov's rule used in alkyne

Expert Answer:

Markonikovs rule is applied to unsymmetrical alkenes, alkynes where addition is involved with HX. X is halogen.

It states that the negetive part of the addendum ( from HX the X) gets attached to that carbon with less # of H
