Nephron is the functional unit of kidney.
It is a long, coiled, twisted and elongated tube. It consists of the following parts:
i) Malpighian body made up of glomerulus and Bowman's capsule
ii) Proximal convoluted tubule
iii) Loop of Henle
iv) Distal convoluted tubule
v) Collecting duct
