What happen when nitric acid is added to egg shells

Egg shell is basically madeup of Calacium Carbonate (CaCO3) so when it reacts with Nitric acid(HNO3). Reaction would be like-
 
CaCO3 + 2HNO3 ...............> Ca(NO3) +  CO + H2O
