what are metalloids?what kind of oxides do they form?

Elements which show properties of both metals and non- metals are called metalloids.
They can form any type of oxides which depends on many factors which you will study in higher classes like oxidation state etc.
Examples:
Silicon and germanium oxides ar acidic.
arsenic and antimony oxides are amphoteric
