Let the sides are (a-d), a, (a+d) which are in A.P
if smaller sides (a-d) and a are sides of right angle, then (a+d) is hypotenuse.
Hence we have (a-d)2 + a2 = (a+d)2
2a2 +d2 -2ad = a2 + d2 + 2ad or a2 -4ad = 0 or d = a/4
hence sides are in the ratio [a-(a/4)] : a : [ a+ (a/4) ] = (3/4) : 1 : (5/4) or 3:4:5
