Number of years should be specified,
Example:
the value of a house is increased by 10% every year. its present value after 3 years
Let the price of the house be Rs.x
After the first year= x+ 10% of x = x+ 10/100 x = 1.1x
After the second year = 1.1x+10% of 1.1x = 1.21x
After the third year = 1.21x+10% of 1.21x=1.331x
So the value of house increased by 1.331x-x=0.331=33.1%
