mean = (2.48 + 2.46 + 2.49 + 2.50 + 2.48)/5  = 2.482 m
 
magnitude of absolute error  in 2.48 m = 0.002 m
magnitude of absolute error  in 2.46 m = 0.022 m
magnitude of absolute error  in 2.49 m = 0.008 m
magnitude of absolute error  in 2.50 m = 0.018 m
magnitude of absolute error  in 2.48 m = 0.002 m
 
mean absolute error = (0.002+0.022+0.008+0.0018+0.002)/5 = 0.0104 m
 
relative error = 0.0104/2.482 = 0.004
 
percentage error = 0.004×100 = 0.4 %
