The car is moving with a speed of 60 km/h, travels y km distance in x hours. Represent this statement as a linear equation of two variables and draw the graph. Read from the graph, distance travelled when time is (i) 5 hours, (ii) 10 hours.

Distance = Speed × Time
 
If y is distance travelled in x-hours and speed is 60 km/hr, then linear equation
for distance y in terms of time x  is given as
 
y = 60 x  ......................... (1)
 
From graph , we see that distance travelled in 5 hour is 300 km 
 
Distance travelled in 10 hour is 600 km
