Expert Answer
(i) Kelvin-Planck statement : No process is possible whose sole result is the absorption of heat from a reservoir and the complete conversion of heat into work.
(ii) Clausius statement : No process is possible whose sole result is the transfer of heat from a colder body to a hotter body. In other words, heat cannot by itself (i.e., without the performance of work by an external agency) pass from a cold to a hot body.
