Running distance to pick the first potato and drop back to bucket = 10 m

Running distance to pick the second potato and drop back to bucket = 16 m

hence additional distance of running for picking subsequent potato compared to previous one = 6 m

This running distances are in Arithmetic progression with first term 10 m and common difference 6 m.

There are 10 potatoes, hence number of terms in A.P is 10.

Sum of running distances = (10/2) [ 2×10 + 9×6 ]  = 370 m
