Ans is b.

Look at the triangle like the one shown in your NCERT class 11 part I textbook page 80 fig.4.19b.

The displacement is Δr.

Using trigonometry , for triangle PP'C

sin Δθ/2 = (PP')/2r

PP' = 2r sin (delta theta)/2
