Sin a+sin^2a=1 then cos^2a+cos^4a=

sin A + sin2A = 1 ...........................(1)
sinA = 1 - sin2A = cos2A
cos2A = sinA
cos4A = sin2A
cos2A + cos4A = sin A + sin2A = 1 ( by sing eqn.(1) )
