Q: Six bells commerce tolling together and toll at intervals of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 minutes respectively. In 30 hours, how many times do they toll together?
Solution:
Six bells commence tolling together and toll at intervals of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 minutes respectively.
Hence, using LCM of the given numbers which is 120 we conclude that bell will toll together after 120 seconds = 2 minutes.
In 30 hours, they will toll together in times and 1 (at the starting).
Hence, total number of times the bells toll together is 15 + 1 = 16
