answered-by-expert Expert Answer
we need to prove cos(90-A)×cosA / tanA + cos2(90-A) = 1

we have cos(90-A) = sinA

hence LHS = sinA ×( cosA / tanA ) + sin2A= sinA× [ ( cosA/sinA )×cosA ] + sin2A

hence LHS = cos2A + sin2A = 1
