Power of electric heater is1200W when connected to240V supply. If the resistivity and area of cross section of wire is 10 to the power minus 5 ohm meter and 0.4mm square . If the radius of one turn is 7 mm . Find the number of turn in present coip

Power  P = V×I = V×(V/R) = V2 / R ............(1)

where V is voltage and I is current, hence we have R = V2 / P = (240×240)/1200 = 48Ω.

Resistance R  , where ρ is resistivity, L is length and A area of cross section.
Hence
number of turns = Length / (circumference of one turn) = 1920 / (2π×7) = 44 turns
