Power P = V×I = V×(V/R) = V2 / R ............(1)
where V is voltage and I is current, hence we have R = V2 / P = (240×240)/1200 = 48Ω.
Resistance R
, where ρ is resistivity, L is length and A area of cross section.
![begin mathsize 12px style equals space rho space cross times L over A space end style](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/0d6d96342be8d8aec0ae50542229eced.png)
Hence ![begin mathsize 12px style L space equals space R cross times A over rho space equals space 48 cross times fraction numerator 0.4 cross times 10 to the power of negative 6 end exponent over denominator 10 to the power of negative 5 end exponent end fraction space equals space 1.92 space m space equals space 1920 space m m end style](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/2db4e83b7ab6cfb9c83226919d284b0d.png)

number of turns = Length / (circumference of one turn) = 1920 / (2π×7) = 44 turns
