A moving coil galvanomemter works based on the principle that current passing through a coil generates a magnetic field across the coil and the direction and intensity of that field is directly proportional to the magnitude of current through it.
Thus a coil suspended on an axis perpendicular to id own axis haing an external magnetic field across its axis will cause to adjust the coil along the external magnetic field as current is passed througgh it,
That coil is then attached to a pointer.
